THE REHAB DOCS
Athletic performance is best improved when an athlete is able to train and grow upon a safe, effective way to move. Maintaining a competitive mindset is important, but our priority is overall health and avoiding injury. Consequentially, it’s our competitive nature that drives us to want to be the best, and this often tunnels our vision and distracts us from listening to and understanding our bodies’ movements. To be the best, a foundation of skill must be built. This is the premise that our sports therapy was built around.
THE REHAB DOCS
Each athlete has an ideal way to move and this must be perfected before power can be built behind this skill. In other words, power behind a perfect skill is what increases our level of performance, while power behind a flawed skill causes plateauing of performance. Additionally, building strength, speed, and reaction time is the goal of any performance program. But, the problem is that this can all be trained behind a poor movement pattern.
THE REHAB DOCS
Let’s make sure you are training to be the absolute best by building optimal performance behind a desirable way to move. If it was easy to perfect a skill and build power behind it, everyone would be a professional athlete!
A performance program is more than a weightlifting program (unless this is your sport). Above all, it’s a program to make you better at your sport. To do this, we have to take into account all aspects of each individual sport. Additionally, we identify your strengths, weaknesses, and pain points – and train accordingly.
The Rehab Docs have the only training program in the Charleston area that analyzes biomechanics, individualizes training programs, and truly helps an athlete reach their full potential.
